Abstract

Joy is a strongly bodily emotion. Vital energies are depressed in conditions of forced immobility (as we have seen in the 2020-2022 pandemic), generating states of depression, inadequacy, loss of meaning, loneliness and sadness. Freeing the body's energies means freeing joy, as numerous studies in psychology show and as some philosophers have intuited and clearly stated in their works. Joy, in short, is good for the health of the body. Moreover, among political emotions, it is among those most conducive to creativity, sharing and social cohesion.
