Bodies, Things, and Their Emotions. Editorial Note

Abstract

Bringing together textual interpretation, theoretical reflection, and artistic practice, this issue explores the interdependent worlds of bodies, things, and emotions, both represented and lived. From Euripidean victims of divine violence to contemporary cinema, from affective objects to artistic and performative practice, the essays investigate how emotions become embodied and how things preserve, shape, and transmit biographical experience, thereby challenging linear conceptions of time. The volume also inaugurates a new section, Blüthenstaub (Pollen), whose title is inspired by Novalis’ collection of fragments of the same name. It is devoted to short notes, reflections, readings, and artistic practices conceived as seeds for future research and new explorations.
